Full passports no longer issued at British Embassy Caracas (17/09/2009)
From 19th October 2009, full passports will no longer be issued at the British Embassy in Caracas. All full passport applications will need to be sent directly for processing to the British Embassy in Washington DC.
However, the Embassy in Caracas will continue to issue a single-page Emergency Passport for people who need to travel urgently to the UK. This document has very limited use in that travel can only be via a non-USA route to the UK and is of a "one time use" validity.
Please observe the new application process if you plan to apply for a new passport.
