Our offices in Venezuela
The British embassy represents the British government in Venezuela. We play an active role in strengthening links between Venezuela and the UK at all levels. Approximately 45 staff work at the Embassy, including 15 diplomats.
The British embassy is part of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), the headquarters of which are located in London.
The mission of the FCO is to promote the interests of the United Kingdom and to contribute to a strong world community. In line with this, the aim of the British Embassy in Caracas is to represent the British government and people in their relations with Venezuela in all areas.
We play an active role in strengthening political and economic links between Venezuela and the UK. Our work includes providing commercial, consular, visa and information services.
Her Majesty's Ambassador, Mrs Catherine Royle, arrived to Venezuela in January 2007. She is based in Caracas, but along with other diplomatic staff, travels extensively within the country.
